If you don't want to pay Nikon for their camera control software, here's a free-bee:
http://www.smtether.com/I tried it with my Nikon D90. Works great. Now I can think of a time lapse picture to take.
With this software, you can take picture from the computer, set WB, ISO, Shutter speed, and F number. Includes automatic EV bracketing, and automatic time lapsed pictures. No live view yet but I have a RGB-USB converter. Should work.
Not to mention I have a USB connected motorized pan-and-scan tripod head. I am going to hook it all up and see what I can do with it.
BTW: If you don't mind paying $20, there is also control my nikon at:
http://www.controlmynikon.com/download.htmlThis one is more full featured (includes live view) but not as easy to use for time lapse pictures. For taking pictures, it's great.
