I had missed the opportunity to see it glided on the back of Boeing 747 when it was transported to LAX, I decided not to miss the opportunity this time. My wife asked me to go videograph her dance practice lesson but I betrayed her as a bad guy and came to greet the shuttle as a proud citizen.
It's amazing to see such a huge and beautiful creature gliding through the streets. At some points, its wings was only inches away from some roofs... When it passed through any obstacles, the spectators cheered and applauded. Some shouted USA, USA.... Wow, how joyous to be part of such an emotional crowd.
Oh, Endeavor
When it flies in space, its speed reaches 17850 miles per hour in space where nothing can limit it. When it glides on 747, it cruises gently at 10 miles per hour where the sky is the limit. When it rides on the LA streets, it parades at half mile per hour where its speed is restricted by every hurdle. When it finally rests at the science center site, its speed will forever ends.
That is the life cycle, isn't it?
Regardless of how elegantly Endeavor flies, glides, or rides, millions of eyes have watched with admiration and pride.
Oh, Endeavor, now that you have reached that final site, may the country salutes you with wows and pride.
